Manufacturer instructions come first
Where anything we write conflicts with the care label, composition tag or written instructions supplied with a garment, follow the manufacturer. Fabrics, finishes, dyes and constructions vary widely, and a treatment that is safe for one wool knit can shrink or felt another. Before trying an unfamiliar wash, iron setting or cleaning product, test it on an inside seam or a hidden area.

We do not promise any particular outcome from following our guidance. Alterations, laundering, storage and repair all depend on the garment, the materials and the person doing the work.
